The Studio & Gallery
My Studio and Gallery is located in historic Tiverton Four Corners in Tiverton,
Rhode Island, not far from Newport. Those familiar with the Southcoast region of Massachusetts and Rhode Island know of
this area for its farms, small villages, coastal waterways, beaches, and wineries.

Located on the first floor of a historic house, the space
showcases a combination of my handwoven textiles
and other local artisanry in a Gallery setting, while also allowing an Open Studio workspace for creativity. I am available to help whenever visitors come by the Gallery, and able to work on custom orders
and stock items when it is quiet.

The Studio & Gallery works to encourage, exhibit and promote the creativity of local artists and
artisans in and around the South Coast area in a cooperative manner, whether they are interested in fiber arts or other
media. Each artist's work adds dimension to the others and may have a different audience. This is the philosophy
that behind our creation of the original South Coast Open Studio Tour in the area as well many years ago.

The Studio & Gallery is also located in a tax-free art zone, one
of several in RI. All purchases are exempt from sales tax. For more information on this program and other tax-free zones

The Gallery currently exhibits work by several other area artisans including: terracotta
birdbaths and garden tiles by Mark Hyman and Kathy Martinez; watercolor and oil paintings by Varick Niles; acrylics by Richard
Sardinha; photographs by Liz Robbins; quilted pillows and table linens by Annette Cook; woven textiles by Sarah Alexander;

The working studio and gallery combine
to show you textiles from start to finish. Several looms are set for a variety of projects and custom orders.
You can see actual pieces in their various stages and learn about the processes involved in handweaving. Finished
scarves, table linens, blankets, rugs and more are for sale in the gallery.
I also use the many looms to teach students of different skill levels,
from beginners just starting out to those looking to hone their skills on special projects through guided tutorials. Plan
a day to come in and try a loom, or reserve a week to learn the entire process.

The South Coast is filled with artists & artisans. Here at ACL, I try to look beyond town and state
boundaries & recognize those who work from home or in public spaces, alone or in groups, whether part-time or full-time
